Hazy dull red/brown body with slightly off-white tightly beaded head. Ribena like aroma. Blackberry. Taste is very good, medium body, pleasant mouthfeel, light sweetness and soft carbonation. lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 10, 2005 Pours a hazy reddish-copper with a huge ivory head, even with an extremely gentle pour. Very, very lacy. Here’s where I thought I had made a very big mistake. The aroma smells of rotting fruit. I mean, it smells bad. Hints of sour blackberry but lots of smelly rotting fruit in there.
Fortunately, it tastes much better than it smells. Sour lambic with some sweet/tart blackberry. Some serious sweetness in there but not cloyingly so. Sweet and sour are very nicely balanced. The tart fruitiness is most apparent in the finish and lightly puckering aftertaste. Not an everyday beer but it acquits itself nicely as an apertif or maybe an afterdinner drink.

A good tasting but very tame lambic Sweet and fruity with some bitterness and again that tough of tanginess is in there.
Too sweet to have more then one but the one I am having I am enjoying.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2005 Bottled. Light currant aroma. Medium tart, citric, slightly sweet currant taste. I´m not a big fan of cassis regardless of the beverage, but this one was quite nice. RichardGretton (3145), Leicestershire, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 6, 2005 Frothy reddish brown beer with a nice strawberry like flavour even though it is cassis. The flavour is again fruity and overwhelmingly similar to strawberry. Overall an OK lambic. steve23mj (273), Essexville, Michigan, USA

Nose is berrylike with sour and citrus character. Flavor is stingy, with tartness known with other lambics. There is an underlying sweetness. Dry tart finish. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 24, 2004 Slightly hazy red to purple color, medium head. Aroma of sweet artificial fruit, blackcurrant, some marzipan. Sweet taste like most of the mort subite beers, and to this one they added a bunch of blackcurrant esters.
