| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 7, 2004 A very lively beer, that blew the top of when opened. The color is a hazy red amber with a light brown huge head. The aroma is surprisingly sour - very nice - with clear notes of black currant, but also lemon. The flavor is sweet from the black currant, but on a quite sour, very fresh background, other notes is of lemon, grapefruit, and hints of wood. rgrep (151), Wellington, New Zealand

It pours a medium red/brown with a large, rocky and creamy pinkish head. The body starts off heavily sweet and finishes long with a yoghurt sourness. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 27, 2004 25cl bottle: This beer pours with a fairly large red-tinged head. It subsided quickly, despite the fizziness of the beer. It is a clear, lighter reddish-copper color. The aroma is all curants. They smell a bit tart . A nice tart lambic flavor , but I agree with it being a bit artificial tasting. Rates an OK for the style, but not a must have. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 20, 2004 Appearance is a dark copper color with a large head. Aroma is currant. Flavor is currant and sour jolly rancher apple candy. Aftertaste is a little sour with a carbonated mouthfeel. Not a bad lambic but a little to artifical for my liking. skaughty (621), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 18, 2004 Much was over the top on this one, including Huge candied (almost artificial) currant aroma. Bottled opened like an agitated cola - spewing froth all over the place. The head, carbonation and lacing were amazing. The flavor was sweet, with a puckering, tart aftertaste - but not bad. Warming only pronounced the tartness. I was seeking something between the sweetness of a Lindeman's and the sourness of Cantillon, and for that - this was a success - faults and all. I can see how the reviews could be mixed on this one.
