My favourite fruit pastille (jelly lolly) is the blackcurrant. Well it is clear that they brewed this by opening about 50 packets of these things into the mash. Needless to say the blackcurrant aroma is huge as is the colour through its reddish purple hue. The head is firm rocky and long lasting with the subsequent flavour being sharp and sweet at the same time, a clean and crisp greeting of the palate. The touch of lambic sourness balances well with the sweetness, even the burp is good. The bitterness is low but is not a negative factor. I am pleased to see this will also ward off a cold with its L-ascorbique acid content.

A very basic lambic. Pours a purple-ish pink color with a big frothy carbonated head. Very cloying, overly sweet, with cheap wine like fruit flavors. Finish is bitter and metallic.

Bottled, Pasteurised. Red amber beer with pink head. Cloyng sweet atrocity. Overwhelming cheap blackcurrant flavour like spangles. YUK

Dark red colour, white head. Sweet cassis aroma. (what a surprise) It is not bad but it tastes more like some kind of soda than like beer.

Aroma of black currant & talcum - dry & old. Pink champagne foamy lacing head above weak Cherry Kool-Aid clear liquid. Medium-high carb in med watery body. Sour start, currant & cherry. Bitter soapy finish & weak fruity after. Refreshing but not a great lambic.

Pale amber mixed with pink; pale pinkish foam, good head, lacy. Horrible artificial fruit-like smell. Another toilet deodorant. Terrible aroma gets its prolonging in the taste. It is however less unpleasant, thanks to a certain tartness – and a general ‘fade’ flavour. It remains awful, however. Mouthfeel is the best; tartness, dry-out effect, OK. Once the toilet cleaner aroma is gone, the beer becomes tolerable. I will never buy this again – compared to this the Lindemans cassis is a treat.

Very fruity, is opverpowering with currant flavour but still very enjoyable. Beautiful head and lacing with great wine like aroma. If you like'm fruity and sweet then this one will hit the spot.

Clear dark red with a strong aroma. Light-bodied and smooth with lots of black currant flavor. Some sourness present, but not overpowering. Simple, but interesting enough to try.
