Nose is sweet-sour with light wood, and vinegar notes along with faint tart fruits. Taste is sweet with a light fruit tartness, thinned vinegar, light lemon and some almost berry notes. Wet wood and faint earth notes come through in subtle tones. Body is very light with mild bubbles. Finishes with light balsamic notes, light tart fruits, and mild woodiness. Sourish grapefruity and woody aroma with not much sweetness coming through. Like a mild geuze, not bad. Flavor is extremely sweet and sugary at first glance but then a nice sourish lambic chraracter shows up underneath the sweetness. Still to much sweetness, but with a nice middle and a good tart finish. Not excellent, not bad either.

Pretty good for a faro, actually, though certainly no match for Drie Fonteinen’s. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia
