Commercial Description:
The Framboise Mort Subite is brewed according to the ancestral Lambic recipe. This original Belgian beer ferments spontaneously. Enhanced with raspberry juce it matures soft and slowly in oaken casks.

(Bottle) Pours a lightly cloudy deep red with a small white head. Fresh orchard aroma with a raspberry dominance, then develops more oak barrel qualities as it warms. Flavor of raspberry and cranberry juices. Obviously not a real lambic, but not as corn syrupy as many Belgian fruit beers either.

aroma of raspberries, sugary. Pours a nice cloudy red-orange, thin head. Flavour is sweet berries, tart finish. Not poorly done, just not one of my favourite styles

Bottle. Pours a pink/brown color with lots of effervescence. Had to wait awhile for the head to diminish. Nose is full of raspberries. It is a sweet and sour raspberry cider-like lambic. Very refreshing and light on the alcohol. Thanks blankboy for the bottle.

Pinkish orange with a subdued pink-tinted head. laces well...aromas of sweetness and berries. Big carbonation sweet and sour tastes over berries and a light musty dry finish...really like a fruit spritzer...the ladies like it, I don;t care for it.

Red orange. Nice head. Wonderful raspberry nose. Very sweet. Not as tart as I would like it.

Bottle. Funnily enough, while opening this I lost the cork in the ceiling as it popped and flew into the missing ceiling tiles. Pours a hazy, very bubbly, reddish-orange with a large somewhat-lasting pinkish-white head. Good lacing. Very nice, big aroma of slightly sour raspberries. Sweet and tart raspberry flavour. Nicely carbonated. A pleasant surprise and my wife, who doesn’t like beer, loves it -- I need to get more.

Where’s the beer? Great rasberry smell when poured, almost overwhelming. Good head the entire time too. But really this tastes more like Koala Rasberry Soda with a bit of alcohol added.

Un bon ti goût framboise, elle va bien avec des desserts avec des... Framboises.
