This was a nice fruit beer, but the lambic qualities were understated. If I approached it as such, I would have enjoyed it a great deal more. As it is, I would chug one during the summer, but not pay lambic prices.

Redish brown color, thick pink head. Strong aroma of raspberries and wood. Flavor of raspberries, but feels more like syrup than real raspberries, it’s mostly sweet and fruity. Sweet finish. Light body, very syrupy and sticky texture, medium carbonation. Much too sweet, cloyingly sweet, feels like a really cheap imitation of a frambozen lambic.

bottled, berlinbierfest04. thanks to the missus for sharing this with me. strawberry jam aroma, tasted of cheesecake, oak and vanilla, just a bit too sweet making it hard to notice much lambic character

hazy rose... smells sweet, tart... tastes sour and full of raspberry. Even better served cold. Very nice on a hot day.

Reddish brown, off white head. Big raspberry aroma, light sourness, pretty sweet at the same time. Some acidity, quaffable. Nice.

375 ml bottle, best before 11/2005. Transparent bright red colour with a thick pink head that falls back to a nice sticky lace. Huge aroma of sweet raspberry with a hint of spiciness as well. Flavour is a bit too sweet but tastes like pure raspberry jam along with a slightly oily flavour. There is an element of raspberry seed bitterness. Sugary but tart finish.

Very woody nose, light raspberry/strawberry aroma. Super sweet and syrupy, dry finish. Seemed more strawberry to me. Sticky sweetness was too overpowering.

Very sweet, nearly artificial tasting. Didn’t have a fruit flavoring, but a kind of pre-packaged sugar sweetness dumped into fruit juice.
