A pale brownish ale with a thin big bubbled white head. A light raspberry remains, rather funky, a bit of popcorn. In mouth, a bit oxidized, sweet honey and raspberry with maple final. Strange. Bottle was BB 2004. Old Stock Tasting June 2008.

Bottle with pressurized cork. Pours a deep red colour with a decent head; head has a pinkish hue, holding some heavy raspberry aromas. The raspberry in the flavour is a bit strong, and very sweet, overwhelming the rest of the beer. I taste some pleasant sourness. There is likely a good beer hinding under all that raspberry.

Cloudy Orange with white foamy head that coats glass as it thins. Strong raspberry aroma. Bubbly bittersweet raspberry, not overpowering taste. Floral perfumey after-taste.

The Pub and the beer i had been looking for, for 25 years! La Mort Subite, i read about their Kriek Lambic beer in a bikers magazine in the early 80’s, went to Brussels in 84, but could’nt find the beer. Went back to Brussels to visit the european parliament in june 2007- and thanks to INTERNET - i found the bar, and had my lifes very first La Mort Subite, Kriek Lambic beer! I was in heaven! i also tried La Mort Subite Framboise Lambic and Geuze beer. Geuze wasn’t for me eaven though i realise that this is the connoisseurs choice. Framboise Lambic however is almost better than Kriek!

Bottle, Hotel Orts Cafe, Brussels. My wife enjoyed this immensely - and she hates beer!! However, she did blame it for giving her a rash on her arms and face the next day (this I would take with a pinch of salt). Top sweet, great smell, very berry.
