Commercial Description:
The Framboise Mort Subite is brewed according to the ancestral Lambic recipe. This original Belgian beer ferments spontaneously. Enhanced with raspberry juce it matures soft and slowly in oaken casks.

Pours a pink/red colour. Sweet fruity, raspberry aroma. Taste is on the sweetish side, with a hint of sourness. While it was good, the taste was not intense enough for my liking. I prefer the Lindeman’s Framboise over this one.

375ml bottle, 4.5% a/v Pours a subdued reddish/pink colour with a decent head. The aroma is sweet summer fruit, raspberries, other berries and a slight melon kick. The taste is fairly sweet, almost like a candy beer. Very lacking in the Lambic bitterness I am used to. A good beer to taste, not one to buy repeatedly, at least for me.

A Mes rate: Draught at Mort Subite.
Pale blood red colour. Rather soapy and syrupy. You know exactly what to expect here. Sweetshop in a glass and a kids drink really. Slight tartness from the fruit saves the day just about but there is pretty mcuh no evidence what so ever of the spontaneous fermentation. Erm... yeah. NEXT!

Bottled, 1998. Tasting @ Kolding Bryglaug. Aroma is old, with raspberries. Hazy, reddish coloured with not much head. Taste is sweet, fruity with a slight tartness. Aroma is better, seems well conditioned.

1998 bottle, thanks to thewolf. Amber beer with a small white head. Fresh raspberry aroma, with a sherry note. Slightly tart and fruity flavour

Vintage bottle 1998 at Thewolf tasting. Pours deep brown with a red hew and nearly no head. Aroma is fruity - rapberries, quite sweet but has a tiny sour edge to it. Good sticky mouthfeel. Overall very nice vintage framboise!

Bottle @ thewolfs pre-festival tasting, Kolding.
[vintage 1998 - I think...]
Bought @ YNWA, Kolding.
Pours deep, light brownish red with no head. Aroma is sudbued raspberries, some fruity sweetness and a nice tarty edge to it. Pleasantly creamy and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is still very fruity, berries abound and has a good tarty background. Good framboise.

Tasted at Bill’s Sour tasting. Not sure of the vintage but the Peche version we tried today was 1991. Amber color. Medium body. Great over the top raspberry aroma. Not sour. Sweetish. Delicious. I love fruit lambics. Love them!! Especially raspberry and peach.
