May 22, 2003 A very sweet raspberry aroma - a little too sweet for me. The color is a beutiful deep red with a nice pink head - though fast disappearing. The flavor is dominated by raspberry in the beginning, then it turns sweet, and then the sharpness from the wildfermentation hits you. A fine flavor, though it is a little too sweet and too raspberry and not sharp enough for my liking of a framboise.

As always I have these rather contradictory sentiments while drinking a Framboise: both fresh and cloying - and this is exactly what I feel about this. Cloyingly sweet with an underlying tartness. Nov 18, 2007 37.5 cL bottle. Pours hazy pink to purple with a diminished light pink head. Raspberry thick aroma, fruity and sweet. Flavour is sweet and slight acidic with a nice dominant flavour of raspberries. Ends sweet going slight dry. I’m getting a sucker for fruitbeers...

Oct 4, 2007 Bottle. Unclear red color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to pink head. Aroma is raspberry, light yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration. Very nice, refreshing and a good balance. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (020907)

Dec 1, 2000 Mort Subite is some underrated lambic. It’s not the best, but it’s not as sweet as Lindeman’s, and quite frankly it’s still lambic, which in and of itself makes it fantastic beer.
