Antwerp, Belgium, Dec 2004. Poured orange with a thin white head. Light sour aroma, vinegar followed by some sweet candy. Taste is very sweet. Must be a low budget gueuze with a bunch of sugar dumped in. 50% of what a real gueuze tastes like.

A clear copper color with a foamy beige head that retains it’s shape. Balsamic vinegar, Chardonnay, moss covered fallen logs, cotton candy, loads of scents here. Sweet, sour, repeat. A sugary pine taste with a quick tart follow leading to a richer sweet taste with a slight tart aftertaste. A real roller coaster ride for the taste buds! I am just starting to appreciate this style.

Thanks for sending this out Dave. Pours an orangey yellow colour with a white head. Great barnyard funky aroma promises much. The taste is moderately sour and enjoyably citric, but it seems a little watery. The aftertaste is really a let down as it fades to balnd sweetness. I probably owuld have appreciated this more without trying cantillon first.

Pours copper with a lasting white head. Sour/tart barn aroma, lighty rotting fruits too. Sweet sugary start with a mild tart finish. Not bad, but i’ve had much better gueuze.

Bottled: Pours a darker straw colour, with a medium sized white head. Aromas are fruity with a sweet and sour peach aroma dominant. Sour apple as well. Taste is sweet and sour, fruity (citrus) with a slight metallic tinge. Sour aftertaste, metal finish.
