A sweet, fairly dry lambic which is actually more like a sweetened flemish sour ale. Lacks the real rip apart your mouth sourness that makes a gueuze refreshing. kendog (16), whittier, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 7, 2004 Copper color, nice carbonation from bottle conditioning. Musty aroma. Initial flavor is a lot like sucking on a lemon, but the finish dries your mouth out and makes you come back for more. Drinking a gueuze always reminds me of the artfulness of brewing and the pride Belgians take in their beer. If you don’t like this beer its not because the beer is bad its because your palate is not ready for it yet. carbonation jerc (3950), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 27, 2004 Aroma is pleasantly acidic with some vague fruitiness. Has the look of a dark apple cider with a smallis white head and impressive brewers lace. Flavour is refreshing, moderately acidic without being overpowering. Bit of a wheaty tartness with a tiny hint of green apple fruitiness at times. The palate is light and effervescent but it suits it well. Surprisingly tasty beer, but not terribly adventurous. An easy drinking geuze. jeffc666 (1895), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

Astringent mouthfeel with dry, woodsiness. Interesting complexity. Sourness has almost addictive character.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 8, 2004 Pours a honeyish colour with a thick off white head, this beer must be filtered as it had no floaties and was clear.Very full fruity aromas, apples, peaches with some mildew and musty notes. The flavour was sweet with a burst of fruitiness, mild tart, with a dry finish. Quite refreshing. OKBeer (1159), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Well carbonated. Lightly acetic and lactic aroma, plus fruity notes. Honeyed sweetness plus a light acetic acidity. Dry and refreshing. Straightforward for sure, but if this was the only gueuze I had available locally - I don’t have any currently - I’d buy it regularly. Eructoblaster (1507), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 11, 2004 Nice hazy dark gold body. It has a good effervescence and a dense foamy white head. Aroma is sour with some hints of wood, apples and dried raisins. Mouthfeel is very refreshing. It starts with a good carbonation. Then comes some fruity and floral flavors. It ends with a long and strongly bitter final. Although this is not my favorite style, I think that this gueuze is more than fair.
