Quite weak for a gueuze. Clear, amber coloured with no head. Taste is very sweet, some sourness, not much balance, little tartness and just a little oak. Fresh palate. I'm not quite impressed. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 7, 2004 Great golden color with big beautiful head. The flavor is right there with a nice acidic and perfect amount of tartness that balanced well. Finish was earthy and sweaty.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 5, 2004 Bottled, had a champagne cork. Aroma is intriguing, flavour is bold and complex but too sour for my tastes. Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 2, 2004 This gueuze pours with a very cloudy amber body topped by a thick foamy head with lots of lacing. The aroma is tart, but not as tart as I expected, with oakey notes and a slight mustiness. The flavor is slightly sour and tart, but again not as much as I like in a gueuze. Slight oakey notes and a touch of mustiness show through. Light to medium bodied and slightly dry. DaSilky1 (2032), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 29, 2004 a dissapointingly dark amber color, clear as clear can be, and topped with a shiny, glass, bubbly head...sweetened & restrained brett touched aroma...not too telling of any tartness...but some hints of oak & chardonney...Dry and crisp with big oakiness...not exactly tart though, but maybe just slightly...very champagne-like & spritzy..subtle notes of white grapes...however, a little too clean and unfunky to be considered a good gueuze..or even a gueuze for that matter. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 23, 2004 Bottle - Poured a golden brew with a nice huge bubbly head. Retention is very standard but head leaves mark at every sip, which is usually a quality mark. Taste is sour with a hint of tannic. Very refreshing with great carbonation. Overall, this is a very good beer even though there's probably some more extreme/better lambic gueuze out there. Dalle (1146), Skørping, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 10, 2004 Best before 2002 - tasted october 2003. Golden-amber colour. Dense, lasting off-white head. Nice lace. Sweet, acidic, oak, light bodied, dry finish. Quite nice. JoeMcPhee (5056), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 9, 2004 Golden colour with a slight ruddy component. Giant off-white head that lasts for a long time. Pronounced smell of sour cherries and warm spices like clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Good carbonation. It is quite sweet in the mouth with a tendency to become cloying. Can taste cherry, raspberry and apple. Seems to be a bit tannic, similar to a young merlot. A good beer but would be better if a bit less sweet.
