Bottle Hotel du Vin Newcastle. What a disappointment. Looked rather like dehydrated piss. Aroma was a bit thin with some sourness and citrus there but not leaping out the glass. Light body and lacking in depth. Really too sweet and lacking in balance. Mass produced and bereft of real character. Not one to try again.

Straw colored with haze, white head. Musty aroma. Sweet taste, but background of dusty blanket. Drinkable.

Pours hazy golden with fizzy thin head and effervescent bubbles. Nose is tart and sour funk. Unfortunately, this bottle must have waited to long, as there was a large cardboard influence. Medium mouthfeel and bitter finish.

Bottled. Deep amber with a small, white head. Pretty sourish aroma with sugary sweetness. Rather sweet flavour, but still fresh and a bit sour.

Bottle 33cl. Pours a clear golden colour with nice carbonation, small head. Aroma is that of citrusfruits mostly, also some hops. Taste is more sour, but not too sour making it a good balance. Nice Lambic.
