25 cl bottle at Pivo Cafe Bar, York. Amber color, moderate white head. Aroma is fruity with sweetness and some yeast and sourness. Flavor is fruity, moderate sourness and much sweetness. Extremely drinkable, vinous - better than almost any white wine. Too sweet? Maybe, but a sweet lambic do not have to be wrong. I love this!

25cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon. Gold with a thin cream head; slightly sour aroma with a touch of cabbage; sweet and fruity with apple and orange flavours, and a slightly dry finish.

Sweety aroma, frutty, citrus and berries. Taste is great, adequate equilibrium between aromas and apple end. No doubt Geuze is a great invention, fresh enough but nevertheless no dimishing the flavour.

Bottle at La Poechenellekelder in Brussels. Light amber color with a decent beige head that left lace rings. Slightly sour aroma. Sweet with underlying lactic. NOT recommended by the server as a good gueuze; tried hard to steer me away from it. Cost like one though; came in a little pouring basket. Finish is about the same as the start. Pleasant. Suggests cola with lemon? No, but my thoughts went that direction for a moment.

Perfectly amber coloured body with a nice sized tan head with a bit of bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of fresh malt, strong citrus, oranges and vinegar and a bit of sweet taste coming up. Medium-bodied; Nice spicy flavour with malt up front, alcohol and a good potent vinegary and sweet flavour overpowering everything else. Aftertaste clean and refined - good sweetness, vinegar and a well-rounded flavour for everyone’s favourite flavours. Overall, a great beer - definitely one to sample if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from a small corner shop in Bruxelles, Belgium on 30-December-2007, sampled on 26-May-2008 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Pours amber with clean white head. Musty aroma. Only slightly sour. Could be more puckering.

[bottle] Gold/yellow in color, with very minimal foam. Aroma is a bit sour, slightly funky. Flavors are sour and musty, but the sweetness is overwhelming. Way too sweet for my tastes.
