Pink froth with some fruity esthers. Medium bodied, though I am glad I shared this as drinkable, a little. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 12, 2008 Bright red poor with pinkish hues and a thick foamy light pink head, good lacing. Aromas of cocktail cherries, raspberry and grape juice... Very smooth, medium / light bodied... Sweetness is predominant but hides a subtile yet very blanced bitterness. Flavors of cherries, grapes, raspberries, basically same as aromas... no big surprise. Enjoyable summer beer. JesseM (677), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 10, 2008 375ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a very nice ruby red with a large, pale pink head. Aroma: Very nice cherries, on top of some grapes and with a nice undertone of yeast and wheat. It smells amazing! Flavour: Nice sour tartness upfront carried by sweet fruity elements, and malts. Finishes strong with woodiness, cherry and malts. This is a really tasty beer. A great treat and I’m glad it’s a general listing now as I’ll be buying more. MrManning (1655), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 9, 2008 375 ml bottle- Decants a cherry red topped with a slightly pink foamy cap. In the nose, I get cherries, yeast, some wood, and a tart fruit. The taste is predominantly sour cherry with woody, yeasty components, add in tart white grapes. Astringent and puckering, with nice sour fruit finish. A good summer patio beer. VeloVampire (491), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 8, 2008 375 ml bottle - pours a rosy-rose colour with a very pleasing fluffy pink head that leaves a nice lace. Aroma has a funky sourness and sour cherry - but this is clearly cherry syrup (as the bottle, to its credit, states), not real cherry. Nice, nonetheless. Flavour is slightly medicinal, with sour cherry, and some yeastiness as well. Noting sensational, and I prefer the Framboise to this, but it makes a nice light spring sipper. I will get this again. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Draft. Amber, head etc. Really refreshing and a very good kriek. Sweet but not overly so IMO. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 14, 2008 Bottle from Belgium shared with Drewbeerme. Amber with red tint with large white head. Aroma is yeast, sweet cherry (almost soda/coolaid like) and grainy. Flavor is sweet cheery once again and kind of fake tasting. Medium body and well carbonated. This might have been good originally but now is a very poor example of the style. drewbeerme (2306), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 6, 2008 bottle. thanks to xnoxhatex for the sample. Pours an odd amber-copper color with off white head. Nose is interesting yeast, old, musty, some odd artifical cherry aroma. Flavor is much of the same, flavor is sweet but not overly so, cherry notes are faint and fake tasting, a pretty bad mess of flavors with nothing dominating. Blah. 2.8.
