Oct 27, 2009 I adore Mort Subite. Such a nice beer to have on the off occasion. This one is laced with cherries. Aroma is very subtle but you can detect cherry and fruit. Taste is an explosion of taste. Cherry with the dry bitterness of cranberry with the bite of alcohol. Just a fantastic mouthfeel.

Oct 27, 2009 375 mL Bottle. Amber / ruby red body with a rocky pale pink head that laces the glass generously. Cherry with hints of raspberry and cranberry dominate the aroma with an almost candy-like sweetness to it. Grains, yeast, citrus, and earthy notes are there too. Cherries with a lemon-like sourness and orange pekoe tea-like bitterness dominate the flavor, lemon and grapefruit peel stand out in the aftertaste, and cherries with a subtle candy sweetness linger in the finish.

Oct 1, 2009 375 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a slightly hazy reddish gold with nice lacey pink head. Sweet cherry nose, alightly candyish but not in a sickly way. Flavour is very fruity with cherry dominating but some hints of raspberry and cranberry. Finish is somewhat dry with a bit of oakiness. Not bad.

Sep 21, 2009 Bottle from the LCBO (Toronto, ON). Pours a hazy rose raspberry color with thin white head that laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and fruity with notes of funk, barnyard, cherry, overripe fruit. Flavor is sweet and fruity with notes of ripe cherries, light funk and barnyard, some sweet and syrupy esters. Generally light to medium body with a sweet fruit finish.

Sep 18, 2009 Fruity but not sweet aroma, slightly complex air of berries and barley but not too much. Has a nice head, and an attractive red-amber colour. I can taste cranberries, grapes, cherry, other fruits and then a dry finish. Really enjoyed this one.

Sep 7, 2009 375 mL bottle. Pinkish-red with an impressive, but short-lived pink head. Smells like sour cherries. Tastes like sweet cherries. Or artificial sweet cherry syrup. Slight bitterness in the finish. Slightly dry finish. High carbonation.

Sep 6, 2009 Bottle. Poured a clear red color with a tall, fluffy pink head. Very strong aroma of sour cherries. Good amount of carbonation. Flavor is a little sweeter than I would have liked, cherry is definitely there. Little bit of sour dryness on the back end. Very good and very refreshing.

Sep 5, 2009 Courtesy of HOPSHUNTER. Pours pale cherry – rose color with thin off white head. The aroma is intoxicating with loads of rich ripe cherry goodness and a dash of earthiness. The taste is crisp and fresh with ripe cherry and berry notes. Pretty fruity drink that thankfully does not head into syrupy sweetness.
