Despite being billed as unsweetened, sugar is listed on the label. Hazy orangey colour. Appley, woody, bretty aroma. Flavour is tart, with woody, leathery, bretty notes. Balanced tartness - this isn’t Cantillon - and overall a pretty decent gueuze. JoeMcPhee (5056), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 16, 2005 Why they add sugar to this beer to get the regular gueuze, I don’t know. Amber colour, slightly cloudy with a thin off-white head. Aroma is slightly sweet with funky Brett notes, honey, white grapes and a bit of dustiness. Flavour is nicely tart, funky horseblankety flavour with a long sour finish. There is still a bit of residual sugar in here though helping to balance the acidity. Amazingly different from, and far superior to the regular gueuze. Jokes (1453), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 15, 2005 Clear, golden body with a thin, off-white head. Subtle, fruity aroma is accompanied by light leather, dry hay, light oak, honey, white grapes, horseblanket and a bit of dry cereal. The body is light and refreshing with soft carbonation and a bit of tart acidity. The flavors are certainly enjoyable with a great tart character that is countered ever-so-lightly with a touch of fruity sweetness. The finish is dry and refreshing. Not as intense or exceptional as some of the greats, but still enjoyable and quite refreshing. iwantalambic (1389), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Dusty limestone aroma with tart strawberries, leather, hay, and a bit of must. Wild, spicy cobweb flavours that have a fresh fruit component that is very refreshing: strawberries and crisp, tart white grapes. Well developed, bottle conditioned palate that has a very nice balance of tingly fizz and smoothness. Long tart finish with some nice tannins and sour brett…way better than I was expecting… YK23 (271), Haifa, Israel
