Small reddish light creamy head that mostly diminished. Light cloudy dark red colour. Good lacework for this lovely Kriek. Aroma was cherry, vinegar, citrus, fresh apple. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and a dry texture. Moderated to heavy sour flavour with light sweet cherry flavour as well. Sour rhubarb like finish.

Bottle @ 16th Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2007, Opstal. Clear dark red color with a large frothy good lacing mostly lasting pink head. Aroma is light to moderate sweet and sour fruity. Initial flavor is moderate sweet and acidic, finish flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft.

A truely amazing colour carbonation is lacking so not much head or it would be a 5. Aroma is excellent sharp cherry hints, lambic funk, hints of a soft grassy background. Taste is amazingly cherry concidering th sour tart dry lambic is working on you big time. An excellent beer that i want to get alot more of.

375ml bottle from Delhaize, Gent. Poured a vivid red with a deep pink medium head. Aroma was intense mix of sour cherries, oak and the farmyard. Mouth puckeringly dry with some cherry fruitiness and a long acidic finish. Shame that this is rarely seen in the UK.

Dark cloudy red with a very red head. Looks just like a commercial kriek. Thankfully it is all up from there. Very tarty cherry nose with a faint pepper hint. Lovely sour earthy and acidic flavour. Balance is just right, and the cherry flavour easily superior to their regular offering. Dry and refreshing, wish I could get this more regularly.

Bottle... Cloudy, blood-red ale with a small, fizzy, pink head. Heavily earthy, acidic aroma with notes of sharp cheeses, manure, wood, leather, forest floor and lemon. Not a whole lot of cherries penetrating the other scents. Sour as Hell! Very acetic and fruity (lemony); no cherries... not that I can pick up. No semblance of balance with regards to sweetness versus pungency. Delicately bittered with aged hops, it seems. Medium-bodied and very astringent with lively carbonation. Lengthy, very sour, then bone-dry finish. Big-time kudos to henrikb for shipping this gem to Florida!

Reddish colour with a very very sour aroma. It is that sour that you can even feel it after wards. Also with a frity taste but souring taste much on front. Great beer.

Bottle, 6.5%. Nice deep red colour, small pink head. Nice, sweet cherry aroma. The same goes for the flavour, well-balanced, just a touch of cherry. Nice.
