Jul 22, 2009 2007 bottle from Alvinne. This cherry red lambic poured with a pretty pink head and a sour cherry aroma. This is a traditional kriek of the sour persuasion. The flavor is thoroughly cherry with a dry finish that sticks to the palate.

Jul 18, 2009 Bottle shared by Marcus which he purchased at Alvinne. Pours a dark cherry red with a large, frothy pink head. Aroma is funk and cherry, underlaid by sour. Flavor is mostly funk, but sour cherry lurks. Cherry sour is more prominent in the finish.

Jul 10, 2009 2005 Bottle. Pours dark red and with a little effort, a sizable pink head. Some sweetness is evident in the aroma, though it’s mostly funk, cherry, and oak. Taste brings out more oak, and slightly tart cherries. A little acetone and acetic acid in there too. Medium palate and slightly spritzy. Good stuff.

Jun 24, 2009 Dark and bloody. Light nose is woody with light cherry. Brash tartness, quite a bit of cherry. The body is somewhat thin but the character is assertive. The tartness is great, though. It’s not super complex - definitely a bit clean - but it’s good lambic.

Jun 19, 2009 @WSF. Dark, almost opaque burgundy. Musty, woody aroma has lots of character. Quaffable palate. Tastes better than expected with lots of wood. Cherries are embedded in the wood and tart-sweet. A touch on the sweet side but good.

Jun 10, 2009 [2086-20090410] 375mL bottle. Mild cherry fruit aroma is mostly strong Belgian yeast lambicity... Hazy, medium red body with a quick foamy light pink head. Sour cherry juice flavour has tasty strong yeast throughout. Medium body is very sour. Very enjoyable!
