Bottle at GBBF 08. Very cloudy deep red. Great fruit throughout. A load of lambic fans couldn’t pick what this was. It’s just lovely. A great blend of cherry/dark cherry fruit and sour lambic. Stunning really. So drinkable. Best beer of the day? Possibly. Bit of farmyard acidity throughout. A great lambic.

On tap at Mort Subite brewpub in Brussels. Served in Mort Subite glassware. Cloudy pink head. Acidic sourness and dark cherry flavors. Good carbonation and mouthfeel.

Poured a hazy red color with a pink head. Awesome aroma and flavor. Funky leather and fruity tart cherry with a mild metalic notes. The tartness is very pleasant.

Draft? at Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2008: Dark garnet with a thin light pink foam. Nice and earthy aroma with cherry and a light whiff of horse. Simple aroma but still quite pleasing. Flavors of dark deep cherry with a musty forest twist. A light CO2 pusshed acid pops up through the deep cherry. Cherry moves "darker" towards the end. Acid builds up and finishes off the beer with cherry and vinous notes. Simple compared to many of the style, but it still always delivers.

375ml bottle, vintage unknown (most likely 2006 or 2007), consumed @ ’t Brugs Beertje. Pink head on a cloudy red body. Creamed cherry nose with soft yeast and some dusty, dry mineral qualities. Dry, parched, super tart and pasty texture, develops a huge dry bite with tannic cherries and wood and just a little light sweetness. Rich and smacky but smooth.

375ml 2006 vintage, consumed April 2009. Deep rich black cherry red colored body. Intensely pitty nose with a heavy lactobacillus presence - dirty, minerally, gritty cherry pits and tannic, sharp skins... so amazingly tart, naturally tart. Intense. Love it. Rating changed from 4 to 4.2.

Bottle. WoW. Pours dark blood red with with a small fizzy pink head. Aromatics is sour cherries, grape, and funky brett. Flavor is mouth puckering sour cherries and exactly what i needed after sampling so many other beers at pauls tasting. WOW outstanding.
