The bottle pours a beautiful deep pink-red color with a small pink lacing. Aroma is very original for a Kriek, with a grainy, earthy, dirt-like cherry sweetness. The taste starts subtle, with cherry sweetness and then POW, right in the kisser, hits you with a tremendous dry acidic sourness. it lingers for a bit. A very nice of original sweetness with earthy character (maybe the cherry pitts?) mixed in a with a short but strong sourness. The mouthfeel is pretty relaxed here, no sharp spiky carbonation a la Cantillon. 375mL cork and wire, bottle #39983, Cantillon small rounded wine glass. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA
