Mort Subite Xtreme Kriek

On tap at ’’Le Belge’’ in Offenbach. Clear dark cherry red colour, minimal pink head. Aroma, well, of cherries - and an intense one, indeed! Some citric acid in the aroma as well as the taste to secure freshness, but otherwise it’s all red cherry flavour from the beginning to the end. Dry, somewhat bitter finish. Rather thick mouth feel due, no doubt, to the cherry syrup involved. It all reminds me of the "Berliner Weisse mit Schuss" that I had as a child. Drinkable, fun - but this isn’t beer!

Draft @ Mort Subite. Pours a clear darkish red color with a small pinkish head. Has a fruity sweet cherry aroma. Very sweet fruity cherry flavor. Has a very sweet cherry finish.

Bottle brought home from Costa Brava and enjoyed after a hot day on the bike. Clear dark red with a pink head. Powerfull kriek and suger aroma. Medium acidic and sweet fruity flavor. Perfect for the situation!

The bottle looks a bit cheap, the beer in the glass deep red, huge head. Starts sweet like sugar, very fruity. Finish is a bit sourish-moldy. Very drinkable, but not really enjoyable.

Draught. Reddish colour with a medium pink head. Rich aroma and taste of sweet cherries. Too sweet for my taste.

Can, thanks to Ang, while at the Lewes Arms. Oh dear. The name should warn you! Very sweet and saccharine, sickly cherry flavour. Avoid.

bottle25cl. a better version than the original, more fruity. pours a ruby/rose, that is light darker in color than the original version, head is lightly pink. Aroma charged in cherries, and some elderberries. Cherry reminded me of light liquorish cehrries found on pastries. Taste, lots of fruits, cherry is more dominant, palate is more sugary.
