Mort Subite Xtreme Manzana

Botlled, 250ml. Pale straw with pinkish head (how did that happen?). Bored at home on an Easter Sunday evening, I decided to rob one Sandra’s fruit beers. How I wished I hadn’t, sweet, sticky saccharin apple fizz. Whew this is bad but serves me right, She will claim one of my dark beers now.

Bottle at Chris o’s. Very sweet, artificial apple flavour, much like Rosie Apples but much less enjoyable. Awful excuse for a lambic.

Bottle, at London Shindig, August 2007. Chemical cider aroma. Applejuice - fresh and green with a faint beer note. Quite drinkable, but chemical and artificial.

Bottle, 25 cl. Almost clear blond color, with a whitish creamy head. Aroma green apples, sweet syrup.Thin to medium body. Taste bit malts, and same like the aroma dry, sticky finish. Where is the lambic in it ? Too sweet for me.

Strong sweetener makes those apples feel extremely sweet, aggressive even and quite bland juicy profile. Dull and thin palate with little effervescence to cut through the syrupy feel. Disgusting.

Bottled. A golden beer with a collapsing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of green apples and candy drops. The flavor is artificially sweet with notes of apples - like a sodapop. Not my thing.

Bottle. An easy one to rate, coz i didn’t have to change any of the numbers. This was pretty bad. Horribly articficial flavour. Like the worst apple juice concentrate ever imaginable. Quite possibly my least favourite "beer" of all time.

Bottle, at London Shindig, August 2007. Whereas the previous Belgian fruity concoction (Fruli Cranberry) was better than expected, this one was, if anything worse. And the expectations were pretty low to start with. Clear gold colour. Plastic, synthetic apple on the palate. Flavour is sweet apples - very artificial feel. Syrupy, sticky mouthfeel. Very nasty indeed. No lambic whatsoever in evidence.
