JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium May 19, 2008 Dense amber beer, with faste gone, just off-white head. Very intense caramel-malt nose, nearly toffee, brown candi sugar, like a prematurely aged beer, but in the best way possible. Some madeira, really like the wine. Typical almondy, frangipane flavour. Beer again gives an outspoken aged impression, as aged in the best way. Fruity (dried fruit), apricot. Rather light bodied, again aged impression, flattish. Strange, it’s nice, but is it well-kept? Or is it meant as such?
