Sweet aroma of malt and honey. Same sweet flavor, but very drinkable. Honey very much the main part of this brew. DruncanVeasey (2754), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 9, 2009 At the tap in Firenze again. Brilliant honey amber, white collar flattening to a sheet. Buttercup linctus, gummy bears, oak, slight booze aroma. Candied orange peel, alcohol, wood, lemon and lime penny chews, hops making the sweetness and honey savoury and good. Lean, sensuous, slightly boozy and medicinal sipper. emotv (331), Izmir, Turkey
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 7, 2009 One of the most interesting beer ever had. Very sweet and candy top, But that sweetness do not stick. Just a very nice scent. And aftertaste is malty and tasty. Full bodied one of the best of different style beer. You should taste at Mostodolce. JorisPPattyn (5192), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2008 No head on cognac-coloured beer. Very malty nose, some honey, very slanted to sweet. Taste is more of the same: malty - honey and sweet bread. Well-bodied, very slick. Another rather unidimensional beer. MartinT (5068), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 11, 2008 My Bottom Line:
The chestnut honey offers a lot of sweetness, which in turn builds a portly body, but this smooth dessert is jinxed by a roaming semblance of DMS (pea soup) which pretty much ruins the glass for me.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-Whipped cream-like foam garnishes the hazy dark amber; this is another beautifully-poured beer at Mostodolce.
-If it weren’t for that repulsive vegetable aroma (coated in honey, of course), this would be a nice sipper for sweet teeth.
-Biscuity maltiness is found underneath.
-Mild leafy hoppiness offers some bitterness to the finish, but cannot balance out the overt (and marred) sweetness.
-I was told the regular brewer was pregnant and so she might not have been handling operations as she usually does. This brewery is getting reliable accolades in Italy and I got 2 flawed beers out of 3 this time around. I hope to come back one day and get the real, clean deal.
On tap at the Prato taproom. LordCorkscrew (984), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy

The aroma is very perfumy, with honey, very nice. Sweet flavor, not thick body, with some malt and honey. Low bitterness. A lot of honey character. A bit mono-dimensional but pleasant.
