A great tequilla flavor wonderful for drinking on its own, mixing with cranberry mead or even replacing tequilla in your favorite margarita mix! A wonderful bottle to always have on-hand.

Bottle. Sweet oaky aroma with some grape and apple notes. Spicy with a bit of a lactic note. Heavy mouth feel. Very sweet but finishes dry. Apple, cinnamon, citrus and tannic flavors.

Bottle shared by grant. Thanks. Aroma is sweet with some cidery aromas. Honey is also there with a bit of vanilla, too. Transparent golden-yellow body with a still head. Lightly sweet, honey-like start. It becomes a bit more astringent in the middle with a ton of apple cider flavors in the finish. Tastes more like a cider than a mead, although there are definitely mead-like flavors present. Different. I don’t know...

This looked appealing enough to me but I have no idea how to rate mead on appearance so I’ll treat this as part of the overall score. Rather simple aoma of apple juice, ginger and floral honey. I want to pick out a few tequila-esque notes but that is likely the power of suggestion more than anything. My mead vocabulary is not extensive, obviously. In the flavor I get a metallic initial sweetness, followed by a bit of acidity/tartness. More cideriness and some melon-like flavors. It finishes with a hint of bitterness, from what I’m not sure. This would be fairly dru for a beer of similar alcohol content but I think it’s on the sweet side for a mead. There’s sort of a vague fruitiness going on here but I’m not sure how to describe it. I’ll be sure to revisit if I have more meads and a better idea of what to look for, but one has to start somewhere I suppose.

This is the first time I have had meads in ages. I was quite eager to try this as I am a huge lover of tequila. This had a little bit of exotic smokiness, some great fruit and a sweetness from the honey that comes through in the aftertaste. Fragrant and sweet.

After sampling the meads from the Poles this seems more like a poor cousin.Nice darker amber color,no head with a decent aroma of honey and fruit. The flavor was honey sweet with a decent fruit side something that i can only figure has to be from the agave and a sweet finish. Not bad but it needs something else for help.

From the bottle a California Brewfest. This was my first mead. Very aromatic and fruity. There was a distinct floral flavor that was quite satisfying.

Taster @ PIB. A rose colored liquid, wonderful in appearance. Smells of fermented honey (go figure). Tastes of oak and a taste i liken to Tequila. Slight sour tinge on the tounge. Very apparent alcohol in this mead, but refreshing, a good after hard days work mead!
