| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Pours a clear dark golden bronze with decent legs. Aroma of complex sweet honey and some floral notes. Body starts a little thin, and has a good honey sweetness, drying towad a slightly more bitter agave finish. A fairly interesting and drinkable mead. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA

I was quite eager to try this as I am a huge lover of tequila. This had a little bit of exotic smokiness, some great fruit and a sweetness from the honey that comes through in the aftertaste. Fragrant and sweet. ChainGangGuy (2568), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 22, 2007 Appearance: Pours out a clear, still burnished gold body. Nice legs!
Smell: Clear-cut agave aspect with distinct cidery notes and only a very subtle honey scent.
Taste: Smooth agave flavor along the lines of a finer reposado. Very minimal sweetness. Any honey flavor remains subtle. Again, there are those notes of apple cider. Sharp, though manageable alcohol bite. More mellow, smoked spice agave flavor on the exceptionally dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Still, medium body.
Drinkability: Certainly different, but I’ve come to the reality that I prefer sweet meads. Still, it would be fun to try and work into a margarita. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 29, 2007 This is fruitier than most meads I’ve had. It’s really quite a fine mead, except for the fact that it’s way too sweet for semi-dry. I would say sweet, but I think of Sweet Melissa and Apis Jadwiga when I think sweet and this is not that rich. There is that hint of agave (at least I’m assuming it’s agave because it’s the fruitiness from pulque I had once. It’s far from the snot-like consistency of pulque, though, and that’s a good thing. badlizard (2353), Berkeley, California, USA

Golden color with a less sweet aroma and taste than their other meads. Alcohol (at 13+% according to the label) and dry spice flavors dominate. Yum. DYCSoccer17 (2192), Davis, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 26, 2007 Bottle shared by grant. Thanks. Aroma is sweet with some cidery aromas. Honey is also there with a bit of vanilla, too. Transparent golden-yellow body with a still head. Lightly sweet, honey-like start. It becomes a bit more astringent in the middle with a ton of apple cider flavors in the finish. Tastes more like a cider than a mead, although there are definitely mead-like flavors present. Different. I don’t know...
