Aroma of cinnamon, caramel and cranberries. Slimmed and elegant with restrained sweetness. Freshening and quite drinkable despite it’s size. It is great on its own but also quite interesting when mixed with Mountain Meadows Agave Mead. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA

Aroma of (what else?) cranberry along with some apple and cinnamon. Ice wine sweetness with a light vineous aroma. Fairly dry feeling in the mouth, cranberry tartness, fruity flavour and surprisingly dry considering the aroma. Quite tasty. frylock (1024), Buffalo, New York, USA

Aroma of cranberry, strawberry, honey and some earthy floral notes. Honey, and floral flavors with some tart cranberry notes. Alcohol is well hidden. This is a style I don’t have much experience with, but I found this pretty enjoyable. Ernest (4487), Boulder, Colorado, USA

No head (still). Body is dark red. Aroma is note of honey, cranberry, flowers. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Full body, syrupy texture, flat carbonation, lightly astringent. I wasn’t expecting a fruited mead when I ordered this (at Alameda Brewing I think), but it was pretty obvious this was cranberry from the first whiff. As such, it’s too much like a cranberry wine might be like, other than the thick body; the mead character doesn’t shine much here.
