Taster at Seattle International Beer Festival. This has probably one of the best aromas I’ve encountered. It smells of Christmas, like cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and a bit of honey. If it had been winter rather than summer I would’ve done my best to find more. This is very smooth and the honey taste lingers.

Bottled. Pours a clear straw color with no head. Flowery nose hugely dominated by ginger. Medium light body with no carbonation (still). Generally spicy honey taste, with a big dose of ginger that somehow avoids being overbearing. Dry finish. An intriguing drink.

Portland Holiday Ale Festival 2004. Pale yellow. Very spicy aroma, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, sweet vineous character. Flavour is also very spicy, semi-dry with a spicy and somewhat tannic finish. Not quite as flavourful as the aroma would have you believe.
