A hazy pale yellow beer with a smal disappearing but lacingl white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast, wheat, citrus, and hops. The flavor has a nice sweetnes with light notes of wheat, but stronger notes of citrus, that leads to a dry hoppy end, but the body is thin. A very refreshing beer.

Sampler at the Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery, Boulder 12/10/2008 Herb aroma. Clear golden coloured with a spicy lemon grass flavour. Crisp and refreshing. A little wheat in a dry finish.

Draught. Body is hazy medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a note of ginger, light note of honey, hint of sassafrass. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. I guessed ginger when I was served this one (and was also thinking about root beer every third or fourth sniff, so I wrote sassafrass down as well), but it turned out it was mainly lemongrass. After the waitress told me, I agreed that lemongrass was apparent, but decided to stick with my original thoughts for the review...it does indeed resemble ginger and sassafrass. The finish is mostly spice bitterness, which is bit more tongue-coating than hop bitterness alone...other than that, the balance is quite good.

Draught at Vine Street Pub. Pours hazy yellow with a spare, white head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (straw, meal), light hops (flowers), average yeast (dough) with notes of apples and lemon. Light bodied, thin texture, soft carbonation, and a chalky finish. Short duration, light sweetness, acidity and bitterness.

Thanks to Aubrey and his wife for a good time at Mountain Sun and BJ’s on my trip (with my girlfriend) to Colorado. Good company, good beer. Kinda sweet in a citrusy way, but not too much. A lemon really brought out the flavor. Where were you, Ecrvich? (hahah!) Too bad they don’t bottle this.

Draft at Mountain Sun. Pours orange with a thin head. Spicy aroma-cinnamon and ginger. Ginger in the taste which reminds me more of a Christmas ale.

white yellow with a lasting head. aroma is light, a bit herbal but not off-putting. tastes like some soap smells. the pine mint does come out, but does not dominate( unless you let it get a bit warm, i don’t recommend cellar temp for this one, keep it cold) & leaves a fresh flavo. not one i’d order again, but fun. 3 6 5 3 11
