Commercial Description:
What's in a name? The brewer's mantra, "more hops," is taken as far as possible in this beer. A deep amber body balances the bitterness and makes that long day at work seem a distant memory. Just ask for a pint of "the dank!!" This beer is also dry hopped with whole flower, Cascade hops.

I love this beer. It has many good qualities including the hoppy flavor and thick body. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys a little hops.

Fruity, citrusy aroma. Wonderful, flavorful ... mild hoppiness. Excellent beer.

Enjoyed off the tap at the Mountain Sun Pub. (Note: they often have this beer on Nitrogen tap, and that is the way I would recommend ordering, I have had it both ways) The color is a nice light brown/almost orange and slightly opaque, with a off-white, smallish nitrogen head. The aroma is floral and hoppy, with a few citrus overtones. The actual taste is heavy on the hops and bitter, with (very) few hints of flowers and orange, and it finishes hoppy and bitter, just the way I like it. Overall, probably my favorite beer at one of my favorite brewpub.

This is very good if you like your APAs on the bigger side of the spectrum. Lots of resiny hop oils dance on the glass, your tastebuds are overpowered at first by hop spiciness and then evenly balanced out by a big sweet malty background. Starts out sharp and melds into something very smooth and creamy. Great stuff!

Very cloudy light to med. orange in color. Smells quite malty and sweet with hints a caramel and a slight american hoppiness. The flavor is unbalanced in favor of a strong hop bitterness with alot of citrus. Very tasty though.

On tap at the brewery on south side of Boulder. Place is fittingly called Southern Sun. Beautiful sunny day in Boulder with a beautiful girl and an extremely hoppy and beautiful beer.

now i drank quite a few beers at mtn sun so my taste buds kinda got a bit warped but if you stay in the same genre of beers paleale, ipa, etc. they all taste resonably the same. huge hop flavors, which is very good and impressive but not much difference in the beers. this one is dominated with cascade esque resiny bitterness that clings to the back of your throat. i called it the california kind when ordering. waiter didnt like that much and quickly corrected me COLORADO!! da Kine!

On tap at the brewpub on 10/14/07: Slightly hazy deep copper color has a thin, stringy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of slightly toasty and grainy malts with a touch of grapefruity hops. Body starts pretty fresh and citrusy hoppy with good toasty caramel maltiness throughout toward a crisp, very drinkable bittersweet finish.
