Draft @ Mountain Sun. Pours a bright, copper-orange color; thin off-white head with solid fine-bubbled lacing. Solid, resiny hop aroma: citrus, oranges; some candy sugar at the core; clean and juicy bitterness. Good carbonation. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of juicy, resiny orange, citrus, and earthy hop bitterness; seems predominantly Amarillo; juicy, dense, non-astringent; very solid, highly drinkable IPA. Great hop character. Lengthy finish: tongue-numbing bitterness, oranges, citrus, and light earthiness; dry and bitter at the end.

Dark copper with a smaller off-white head. Big grapefruit and citrus nose. Big hoppy bite up front that really makes you chew through it. Nice grapefruit juice flavor that has good malt balance. The finish is big hoppy and dry.

A very nice IPA. Very hoppy and a good bitter taste. Also some sweet touches. I loved it

Draft at the brewpub. A hazy amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops, grass, and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with strong ntoes of grass, leading to a dry and very bitter finish.

Quite a tasty little take on the style. Fruity grapefruit nose, with lots of citrus and resin, I mean lots of resin. The hop profile smells really fresh. Lots of sweet maltiness on the palate, but this is definitely a hop overload. Lots of resiny oils throughout, the hop profile almost clashes with itself from being so bold, but it still pretty decent.

Draft at Southern Sun in Boulder. Cloudy orange, murky, glowing, thick foamy white head, it looks delicious. Super dank and grassy hop nose at first, some pine nut and fruit develops after a few more sniffs… really quite enticing. Flavor at first is a mixture of drank, fruity hop cones and burnt almond/peanuts, chewy and full on the palate, over the middle it develops some unwelcome dried bran and oat flavors, some caramel toast as well, but overall it’s a big, sticky, dank hop bomb of an IPA. Fruity and dry at times, reverting back to the burnt almond/dried bran, then more fruity and dank hop oils. Hard to deal with how different this is sip to sip, actually, but I enjoyed it.

On tap: a mouthfull of hops that keeps you wanting the bitter sweet finish. Pours an orangish, blonde with a fine lacing. A delicious IPA!

Reviewed on: 11-13-2006 Poured from a growler. I knew this was the one to fill my growler with the moment i tasted it. Very dark color, almost brown and quite hazy. The first taste is very hoppy and enjoyable. It does remind me of Deschutes Inversion but better. The drinkability on this one is pretty high but it seems a little strong. Highly recommended.
