Dec 30, 2007 Draught at the Power Plant Strong Ale Fest ’07. Sweet, floral, citric aroma, nice caramel maltiness to blend with the huge hops here. Hazy medium copper color with a fine head. Flavor is rife with pungent hops, green and appropriately dominant, with a hop flavors appearing first and the bitterness arriving later. Huge pine and citrus, some pine. Fairly low in effervescence, mouthfeel is smooth and thin. Pretty tasty, if not outstanding.

Dec 16, 2007 One of my favorite Pubs anywhere....great service, grub, and brew. This IPA could be my permanent session beer...smooth, super hop fruity aroma, even better flavor...there’s nothing to complain about with this one. The lemon grass really makes a difference with this one. Boulder is too far away to get this regularly....I’ve gotta brew up a reasonable clone of this!

Dec 14, 2007 On tap at the Power Plant Strong Ale Festival 12/8/07. Pours a hazy orange with a small, beige head that diminishes. The nose is of big piny hops and light caramel. The palate, on the light side of medium-bodied, is slick with a dry, bitter finish. Big piny resinous hops dominate the flavor with a caramel malt backing struggling to keep the bitterness of the hops in-check. I found this one a bit too dry for my tastes, despite how much my buddies seemed to enjoy it. I suppose I’ll just have to give it another try if the opportunity presents itself.

Highly hazed yellow-orange with a creamy white head and good lace.
Aroma of papaya, mango, peach and pine.
Very piney and grassy, but very easy to drink.
Medium body. Oily. Average carbonation. Semi sweet finish.
Really a nice American IPA. Good stuff.

Dec 9, 2007 On tap @ Power Plant Strong Ale festival. Hazy orange color. Piney, resiny, and citrus aroma with some candi sugar. Real nice. Taste is resiny, piney, and to a lesser extent tangerine and grapefruit. Moderate bitterness. Not a lot of sweetness.

Oct 27, 2007 On tap at the brewpub on 10/14/07: Clear orange amber color with a wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of big fresh grapefruity hops and a light malty presence. Starts fairly full bodied with a nice pale malty sweetness and a crisp citrusy hoppy balance, finishing drier and bittersweet. A very nice IPA.
