Tap at Vine Street - dark amber pour - as has been noted, very resinous in the aroma, with hints of sweetened grapefruit - fairly sweet flavor, but there is plenty of earthy hops to lend balancing bitterness, pine, and citrus pith flavors - a bit of orange sweetness in the finish that the bitterness doesn’t quite stick around long enough to balance completely, but otherwise this is a fairly tasty IPA.

Draft @ Mountain Sun (and take-home quart following). Piney, resinous nose with hints of fresh mandarin orange. Flavor is more of the same with a definite edge to the resiny pine hops, but well-balanced sweetness throughout the glass and the carbonation and sweetness takes the oily edge off the woodiness. As Fresh as this is, it’s really outstanding. Well done.

tap at Mountain Sun - Pours hazy copper with a good citrus hops aroma. The flavor is aggressively hopped, more so than the Swang Song and Illusion Dweller I had the same night, with notes of pine and citrus. It’s medium bodied and has a long bitter finish.

Draught from brewpub. Light cloudy amber with a nice frothy white head that eventually thins. Beautiful aroma of sweet and floral hops with notes of grapefruit. A medium bodied brew with aggressive hop flavor ending in dry and light bitter finish.

On tap at the original brewpub on 7/17/09. Pours a nice orange with bubbly head and solid lacing. Very pleasant lavendar, grapefruit and orange hops. A nice balanced sweetness with the bitter, but overall a bit too fizzy for me.

Sampler at the Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery, Boulder 12/10/2008 Very hoppy aroma. Amber golden coloured and hoppy with a pine fruit flavour. Crisp dry and slightly bitter in the finish.

Draft at the brewery/pub. What a wonderful beer and wonderful place to drink and eat. This IPA is darker than most as it pours a clear dark amber. The aroma is a burst of fresh citrus hops and the flavor is a nice body of malt encased in very fresh, fruity, citrusy hops from begininning to end. Pretty well balanced and just a great beer.

Clear reddish orange pour. Big hop aroma. Lots of hops are used but the nose retains a fair balance. Smooth feeling upfront. Most of the hops are tasted on the finish, which has a sweet lingering bitterness. Very well done.
