Deep burgundy; frothy tan head. Chewy, woodsy, smoky, toasty, and nutty. Lightish porter, but pretty good.

A little toooo smoky at first but not bad toward the end of the glass. The malt really grabs you and holds you, making this a somewhat demanding beer. Not bad, but not the best I had at Mountain Sun.

Draught. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, chocolate, caramel), lightly to moderately hoppy (resin), with a light note of charcoal/smoke. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
