CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA Apr 15, 2007 On tap at the 10th Annual San Diego Strong Ale Festival: Pours a hazy copper orange with a nicely-lacing off-white head. Aroma of fresh citrusy lemon and piny hops with a touch of sweet caramel malt. Body starts with good malty sweetness balanced with a fresh, bittering hoppy presence and a crisp, bittersweet piny resiny finish. A good American strong ale. goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Feb 7, 2007 10th Annual SD Strong Ale Fest: Poured a hazy dark amber color with a small off-white head. Some fresh grapefruity notes, not huge but it covers most of the malt. Fruity malt with a citrusy hop middle. Semi-dry moderately bitter finish. Nice warming sensation.
