Linus_Stick (1560), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 5, 2008 Blah. A very boring dry stout. Aroma was weak. Slight dark malt with not much else and you have to struggle to get. Pour was a boring and disappointing near black with no head or bubbles. Taste was mildly bitter with deep roastd malt but very thin and unexciting. The carbonation was a nice suprise and puts this beer above it’s nitrogenated cousins. nearbeer (1334), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 7, 2008 12 oz. Opaque black with a small head that settles to a a lasting film. Aroma is coffee and ashes. Flavor is coffee with sour cream, chalk and mesquite char. Maybe a hint of cherry. Light-medium body is watery, tingly with carbonation and finishes chalky dry. decaturstevo (1280), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jul 12, 2008 Coffee and sour malt on the nose.
