Commercial Description:
Mellow and refreshing with a slight dryness and crisp hoppiness. This California Golden Ale is the perfect “session” beer, an excellent ale that compliments all occasions.

Grainy and grassy in the aroma with plenty of floral notes. Brilliantly clear golden body is topped by a decent white head that diminishes rapidly to a thing partial cover and ring. Flavour is also quite grainy with moderate bitterness and fruity esters in the aftertaste. Light medium body with crisp carbonation. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in Apr-09.

Bottle. Amber bodied with a small white head. Aroma is slightly hoppy with soft spiciness and nuttiness mixed with grains, light grass, and sweet malt. Taste is rather on the sweet side with soft spicy and floral hops, some grains, fruit notes and candyish flavors. Body is soft, light-medium overall with mild carbonation. Ends with more fruit and sweet malts, light spicy notes, floral hops and grains. Some cereal-like flavors here as well.

22 ounce bottle from Vintage Cellar in Blacksburg, VA. Pours a hazy golden peach color with lots of particles. Medium white head. Poor head retention and decent lacing. Aroma of sweet malts and grain. Sweet grainy taste with a nutty finish. Medium bodied.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a malty hoppy aroma with some grainy hints. Sweetish malty and with a slightly hoppy flavor. Has a crisp malty grainy finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste.

Pours a fairly crisp pale gold with a too tall foamy off white head that just won’t leave but leaves some neat foamy lacing. Aroma is malty grain, sweet malt, metalic notes, some apple. Flavor is sweet barley cereal, canned mixed vegetables, applejuice, lager yeast. Finish is slightly bitter and metalic with apple notes. The biggest problem I have with this beer is the body (the taste is pretty bad don’t get me wrong here), it is very oily sort of undercarbonated after it makes that crazy head, and really to thick for the flavor profile.

Nice golden color, a little hazy. Smells unobtrusive almost nothing there but a tad of malty cereral. Flavor is ok, little bit of citrus but barely, easy to down but nothing special. Even though this is easy to drink it just lacks any real flavor. Blah. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 12-05-2008 04:08:53

Picked up single 22-oz bomber from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul. Pours a golden pale brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of golden grain malt, a hint of green vegetables and corn. Taste is light bodied, some crystal hops, golden grain malt, a hint of lemon zest and red beets. Finish is semi-sweet with a corn and lemon aftertaste. Simple at best.

Light gold color. Light palate, some grain, and a little sweetness. Lager yeast in the flavor and aroma. There is not much to it.
