Commercial Description:
Mellow and refreshing with a slight dryness and crisp hoppiness. This California Golden Ale is the perfect “session” beer, an excellent ale that compliments all occasions.

Slightly hazy honey gold, brief low white head, no lace. Aroma of honey and wet straw. Pale malt palate, medium sweetness, in the end pretty bland.

Pours a very clear straw color with a very large frothy off white head. Aroma is moderately sweet with light lemon yeasty, mild fruity light caramel. Flavor is initially sweet up front, lemon, tangy and grassy. Light body, big carbonation. Very dry finish.

Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, off-white, fully diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), with a light note of lemon peel. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation. They weren’t trying very hard with this one, it would seem. Boring aroma, fizzy appearance and mouthfeel, bland mouth experience.

22 oz bottle. Pours a light golden/yellow color with a smallish white head that has moderate retention and produces little lacing. The aroma is almost steamed veggies, some corn, potatoes, and maybe cauliflower....? Very weird. Flavor is sweet malt with a bit of the aroma flavors coming in at the end. This is by far, not the best beer Moylan’s has to offer. I have been rather impressed with most of their brews but this one probably not get a revisit.

Cloudy golden amber with a small white and few lacings. Aroma is fruity and some floral hops. Taste is some fruit mostly apricot with a trace of pineapple. There are a touch of funky bitter hops but mostly in the finish. Slightly astringent on the tongue. Overall an interesting blonde ale.

Pours dark gold nice malt aroma but no real hop aroma to speak of. This is a very basic beer some nice malty flavors of read and biscuit small hop flavor very traditional must be english hops because of the spice flavor but no real citrus or pine might be german hops perhaps. Not a bad beer just not the big boldly hopped complex malt beers that I know and love from Moylans, Still smooth and drinkable but not preferred.

Bottle. Another offerring at the Wall Street’s Wasting Craft Beer Tasting in Voorhees, NJ. Clear dark sunflower pour under a small dirty white head with very little lacing. Mild fruity (apple) aroma. Some spice in the flavor but not a whole lot going on overall. A little nutmeg and weak malt. Thin texture and very quick finish. Somewhat disappointing but still an easy drinking beer.
