Commercial Description:
Mellow and refreshing with a slight dryness and crisp hoppiness. This California Golden Ale is the perfect “session” beer, an excellent ale that compliments all occasions.

I’m stuck between old fruit, cheesy hops, and dirt, somewhere in that mix I’m finding this flavor. This has been my least favorite Moylans beer so far, grainy with a odd malt flavor and not much for floral hops. Pours light orange/amber with a smooth white head. This just never came together well for me.

22 oz bomber from Canal’s Burlington. What the F#c& isn’t this supposed to be a "Golden Ale"?? Well this one pours a nice shade of.....orange with a smaller foamy white head. Aroma is weak with notes of dirt, perhaps a little citrus chocolate malt combo and some slightly off notes, perhaps plasticy. Thiner body with light carbonation that is neither good nor bad just kind of there. Falvor is weak as well with nothing really standing out perhaps a touch of grainy bread and thats about it. Wow was this a let down, I mean seriously Moylans didn’t even get the color right on this one.

Hmmm. Not very golden. Kind of dirty brown in color with an off-white head of fine creamy bubbles. Spicy aroma with some nutmeg, ginger, sweet malts and some dusty hay. Bit of citrus also. Toasted bread flavor with some dough, more spices and some earthy notes. Dry and crisp flavor that is a little bit gritty and grainy. Some hops presence and bitterness. Kind of sticky hops, Finishes sticky and dry and gritty with a lingering bitterness. I am not enjoying this one as much as I would have thought.

Slightly cloudy, though perhaps from sediment, medium orange-gold with a loose, creamy off-white head. Light, fresh aroma of toasted grain with a touch of citrus and earthy hops. Mild flavor with a soft grainy backbone and soft hops flavors and low bitterness. A pleasant, easy-going, well-made, uncomplicated beer.

Gold color with a thin head. Grainy aroma. Light caramel taste. Some corn and grain. Very light earthy hops.

A little sweet. A little...fruity. Not really much of anything. I wouldn’t buy another.
