Would be refreshing on a hot summer day. Pleasant banana aroma with a slight citrus hint. Snojerk321 (1962), San Diego, California, USA

Pours a brightly hazed golden color with a good sized white head. Lots of bread, banana, and citrus on the aroma. A very clean, refreshing finish........ a great summer brew. The aroma is thick and bready. Drinks with that same essence ... bready, musty. I really can’t draw much more out of this than that biscuity malt. It’s enjoyable enough. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 5, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy golden orange color with a fluffy, crisp white head. Smells mellow, earthy malty and a little nutty. Tastes nutty as well. Earthy malts, earthy hops or is that the hops that taste like peanuts? Moderately dry mouthfeel. Medium body, good smooth carbonation. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Mildly sweet lemongrass nose, not a lot else. Light flavors of lemongrass and fruit, mildly yeasty, a bit of grainy breadiness. Pretty bland, but fairly drinkable. Meh. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 30, 2008 Light orange, light particulate haze, decent head fades quite slowly to a ring. Aroma is bready and surprisingly roasty considering the pale color. I’m actually getting a faint coffee note. Flavor is also surprisingly roasty, I would have pegged this for a brown ale if I had been sampling blind, and would have been rather obviously wrong. Some earthy hops on the finish accent this as well. Easy drinker, enjoyable, and clearly a different take on the golden ale category. radagast83 (1302), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

The problem with a lot of golden/blond aies is that they’re never every spectacular. Not bad, but there just isn’t much to this one here. Straw color. Light hop and malt aromas and flavor. epicurie (6), , California, USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2007 I’m surprised this one is rated so low - definitely enjoyable for me. Nothing about it is huge or complex, but I found it very drinkable. Smells clean and fruity, almost flowery. Very crisp and light, with a wonderful apple and grapefruit hop taste that finishes with decent presence without being cloying. Slightly sweet through all the crispness of the hops, though the malt taste is very subdued. The mouthfeel is light, and it finishes clean and dry. Would be an excellent pair to fried foods. Extremely good for a "lawnmower beer" choice too.
