Feb 10, 2008 22. Pours deep ruddy amber with a thin grayish film and maybe a smattering of lace. Light toasty and somewhat sweaty nose. Medium body, active carb, Toasty, nutty mid-palate. Not much happening here. I generally expect a heck of a lot more than this from Brendan Moylan. But, then, I’ve only really tried his famous stuff. Everybody has their fallback beers they sell to the general public. :-)

Feb 9, 2008 Dusty red in color with a small ring of head. Aromas are malty with a generic candy sugar sweetness. Surprisingly sweet on the palate, full but short mouthfeel. Sweet finish is also slick and wet. An odd, but drinkable, beer.

Jan 30, 2008 Updated: Oct 28, 2008Pours a very dark opaque red with a small white head. Smells very malty. Taste is initially a little metallic, kind of sweet, good finish, better than a Killian’s. I like it, I would buy it again,

Jan 13, 2008 Sampled from bottle. Pours an redish-amber color, medium head. Toasted malty aroma. Flavor is a smooth, malt (slight sweetness). Finish is not too bitter.

Dec 18, 2007 Poured an orangish-red with almost no head. While being very malty, this is not my favorite Moylans brew. However, it is the best Irish Red I’ve had. Some citrus bitter taste at the end.
