Light toasty and somewhat sweaty nose. Medium body, active carb, Toasty, nutty mid-palate. Not much happening here. I generally expect a heck of a lot more than this from Brendan Moylan. But, then, I’ve only really tried his famous stuff. Everybody has their fallback beers they sell to the general public. :-) jefcon (999), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 9, 2008 Dusty red in color with a small ring of head. Aromas are malty with a generic candy sugar sweetness. Surprisingly sweet on the palate, full but short mouthfeel. Sweet finish is also slick and wet. An odd, but drinkable, beer. arondee (176), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Taste is initially a little metallic, kind of sweet, good finish, better than a Killian’s. I like it, I would buy it again, radagast83 (1302), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 18, 2007 On Draft. Murky, light amber color with pinkish hues. Ivory head. Some toasted malt aromas. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 18, 2007 Poured an orangish-red with almost no head. While being very malty, this is not my favorite Moylans brew. However, it is the best Irish Red I’ve had. Some citrus bitter taste at the end.
