| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 24, 2007 Cask at the brewpub. Malty aroma. Reddish amber color with a beige head that laces a bit. Starts medium malty, smooth and creamy, medium mouthfeel. The hop bitterness only arrives towards the finish, and balances the remaining malt. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2007 I felt that this red ale was much deeper in flavor than most red ales I have had, which isn’t that many. It had that same chalkyness I get from guinness, but the beer was lighter and less viscous making the chalk almost reasonable. Low hops for sure. Very drinkable. scanman (146), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 11, 2006 This is a fine red ale. Pours a nice copper, amber with a nice head and fine lacing. Nice balance of malts and hops with a strong bitter kick. Recommended. hayduke (1651), Eureka, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 22, 2006 22 oz bottle. Poured a dark amber with a tan head. Noe of mals and hiops. Has a yeasty flavor and sweet and sticky mouthfeel. This may be decent for an Irish Red, but I am thinking this is not my favorite kind of beer. tromboneman (17), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2006 The look of this beer is as far as this beer goes. It has amazing color and contour but overall this beer was too smooth for me. It offered no kick in the face like the Irish I know. I need some flavor Moylans. Give me the flavor. If I wanted water... I’d be drinking water.
