Commercial Description:
This strong Moylan's brew is what keeps those Irish eyes a smiling. Its deep amber radiance has been described by our brewer as the most visually enticing beer. This ale's rich malty flavor, full body, invigorating aroma, and expansive finish empower it to be extremely satisfying and repeatedly enjoyed. Great Western Two Row Pale Malt, De Wolf-Cosyns' Caravienne and Munich Malts are allied to provide the 1.070 beginning specific gravity, while Fuggle and Liberty hops balance this sweetness. A classic rich and malty ale from Ireland. Unlike most "want-to-be" red ales, Moylan's red has a rich caramel character balanced with a low hop profile.

Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX. Pours a very nice looking amber/red with beige head. Aroma of nutty light roasted grain, nice balanced maltiness. Flavor is the same with a touch of hop flavor and very faint bitter. Mouth feel is medium body with medium carbonation. Solid beer, tasty!

Bottle courtesy of thirdeye11. Light orange pour. Smells of roasted red malts that have an edge of hops. Taste of earthy malts with a finish of clay dry.

Bottle thanks to thirdeye1. Pours with an amber body and an off-white head. Aroma of rye, amber malts, caramel, husky grain, and burnt toast. Taste is watery and sweet. Medium to high carbonation. Watery.

Bottled. Slight hazy golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of some strange vegetable, slight malty, slight hop. Buttery vegetable taste. Bleh.

Bottle@UDRM. Tnx JBrus! Aroma has grass and vegetables. Clear, copper coloured with an off-white head. The taste is a bit sourish, has loads of vegetables, some butter. A little watery and a little carbonated. yuck.

Bottel @ tasting by jbrus. A clear amber/red colored beer, with a small off white head. The aroma is fruity, a little smoke, some butter. The taste is dry fruity, a little bitter. The aftertaste is some bitter, flate and a little sweet.

Bottle@UDRM. Aroma of vegetables. Hazy, orange colour, off-white head, no lace. Veggies mainly, light sweet, light bitter, carrots in the finish. Strange stuff.
