KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Oct 1, 2009 Tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a dense mahogany with a faint head of off-white. Nose features sour cherry bomb candy and strawberry preserves. Flavor is strawberry preserves soaked in alcohol with a raisin/prune puree finish. Average feel on the tongue. Too fruity and too boozy. snakeoilpete (324), Seattle, Washington, USA May 29, 2009 On tap at Naked City’s Moylan’s Night. Pours dark red with a nice beige head. Vanilla, bourbon, cherry, caramel malt- flavors linger for a while. Good stuff. AndrewKitna (21), Fortuna, California, USA Apr 20, 2009 Very hearty. Great follower to a light meal. A bit boozy but not intolerable. Too dark for my tastes. Stick to regular KiltLifter. WeeHeavySD (2940), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Apr 8, 2009 Tap @ Toronado SD. Pours orange with a tan head. Nose is sweet with a big caramel kick. Taste is sweet and malty and overall kinda boozy. All in all not bad. hayduke (1616), Eureka, California, USA Apr 7, 2009 The was a barrel aged version from the brewpub titled Double Kiltsickle on the menu but I assume that was a misprint. It came a dark brown with a small creamy head and light lacing. Nose of roasted malts with some grains and fruits. Rich and smooth mouthfeel. Favor is of ripe fruit and nuts. Very smooth and clean finish. Quite enjoyable. Snojerk321 (1914), San Diego, California, USA Apr 7, 2009 Tap @ Toronado. Pours a deep brown with a small beige ring. Nose was sweet and toasted malts. Flavor was also sweet and roasty with a touch of booze, decent stuff. badlizard (2324), Berkeley, California, USA Apr 3, 2009 Dark brown with no head. Rich caramel aroma and taste with a sticky sweet finish. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Mar 27, 2009 Sampled at the 2009 AZ Strong Beer Fest on February 28th.
