Pours a pure gold color with lots of head that disappears quickly, but leaves a bit there to tease ya. Medium bodied. On the nose I am getting strong hop and citrus aroma and yea more hops there as well. On the palate I get hops, citrus and bitter flavors. Not detecting much malt there. Stays around on your palate for awhile as well. Give this one a try.

Bottle with a big thanks to Wavers1. Pours a very viscous dirty orange with a finger head. Good strong caramel malt flavor with a slightly soapy hops note. Taste is comparable to chewing on a jack pine or spruce branch. Lots of pine presence. Something of a creamy smooth palate, and towards the end is just about overwhelming, but yet I continue to forge on.

This beer punches you in the face. It is pungent, resinous, overdone, and quite good. I get very little floral, citrus, etc from this but mostly pine and it’s very thick. Most of the hops went in to bittering and flavor I think, it is quite bitter but not much aroma. If you like to get whooped on by hops, go with this.

Bottle pours amber color with off white head. Aroma is sticky wet hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is strong wet hops, pine, citrus, grass, all in a nice bottle. Flavor is smooth for the style and is really great.

Pours clear amber/orange with a thick off-white head. Sweet pineapple aroma and otehr sweeter citrus fruits. Taste is way more towards the bitter end with pine resin and grapefruit. Thick malt body to match the hops. I love hops.

Bottle. Lovely looking white fin bubbled white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Clear amber color. Aroma of biscuit, peach, grapefruit, citrus, herbal, caramel. Toasted malt. Full bodied with an average carbonation and thick yet smooth dry and complex texture. Heavy bitter flavor with good counter sweetness. Lingering biscuit and floral dry bitter finish.

Enjoyed on tap in a pub glass. The beer pours a medium yellow, with a nice white head. Huge notes of American hops come through in the nose, with a special accent coming from a lovely interplay of Columbus and Simcoe. The palate brings a big-time bitterness that is huge but at the same time smooth, up front. It follows with a rich and complex malt backbone and a medium finish. One of the great Imperial IPAs I’ve had. Tremendous.

Cloudy orangey-amber, which eventually settles to almost clear. Thin off-white head that almost disappears with decent bubbly lace. Aroma of sweet flowery hops, lots of citrus and sweet fruit, and strong fresh pine and resin. Amazing Hope aroma. Silky mouthfeel with light smooth carbonation. Flavor starts with a quick grapefriuit, slightly herby bite. Develops into tangy, citrussy, acidic hops. I miss the fruity piney hops that I saw in the aroma, they are buried under the bitter bite. Ends with a very piney , orange peel bitterness on the back of the tongue, very lasting. Great IPA, but I feel like it would be better if it was a little more mellow, the hop flavors don’t get enough room to develop.
