Nov 19, 2009 THOUGHTS: First time rating a so-called triple IPA. It was actually incredibly well balanced. Hid alcohol incredibly well. Tons of hop flavor, but not too harsh.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a medium to dark orange with an average, off-white head that kept a nice sheet and excellent lacing that was really more like sheeting. The aroma was moderate to heavy resinous and orangey hops, some Band-aid notes and a little rubber. The initial flavor was sweet, lightly bitter and acidic; while the finish was rather sweet and extremely bitter with a long duration. There was caramel malt, orange and grapefruit hops, resinous hops, slight metallic hops and oranges. The medium to full body was a bit syrupy with fizzy carbonation and a slightly metallic and lightly alcoholic finish.

Nov 19, 2009 This is a hop bomb no doubt about it & a nice one. It was a golden brown beer with a small foamy head. The aroma was awesome-sweet, piney, grassy, fruity & just made you wish you could smell it the rest of your life. The taste was the same with a big bitter ending. When I smelled/drank this beer it made me think of a giant 10ft. x 5ft. hop cone being squeezed in between a giant vice tool squeezing the hop juice out into your glass & this is what you get.

Nov 15, 2009 Pours amber. Big grapefruit, citrus, oranges, toffee, caramel, honey pine. Flavor is sticky dank hops, sweet caramel and toffee, hints of honey and bubblegum. Beauty!

Nov 10, 2009 Pours an amber/copper color with a large rocky head. Aromas of citrus, pine and resinous HOPS!!!! Taste is the same...a hophead’s beer to be sure. Love it!

Nov 8, 2009 Pours a clear copper with a large chunky, frothy, off-white head that leaves tons of thick lacing. HUGE aroma of pine needles, mango, grapefruit, orange, and some buired caramel malt. The flavor is caramel malt and fruit at first, but quickly turns to extremely bitter and hoppy. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a oily, slightly hot, very bitter finish.

Nov 5, 2009 Big IIPA, amber coloured with a thick creamy head and small dense lazings. Aroma is piney and intense with the basic caramell foundation. Flavour is just as simplistic with a harsh bitter ending. Very flavourfull and very straightforward, quite tasty though.

Nov 3, 2009 Bottle, 22 fl. oz. Pours a clear amber beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is hops. The flavor is hops with citrus and grapefruit. The palate is bitter. Overall a good beer with a good balance.
