| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 2, 2009 On tap at Papago. Pours a bright copper hue with a beige head that leaves plenty of lacing. Briimming with an amalgam of hops in the aroma. Very reminiscent of Blind Pig in its saltiness with added notes of rice, slight cream, green apples, and grapefruit rind. Has some definite bite to it. wavers1 (129), novato, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Updated: Aug 26, 2009i have grown to love this brew and its now my regular staple selection at moylans, and i am usually a dark beer guy, and they make good dark beer there. this stuff is so tasty, its like hops candy or something. taste like chewing on hops with the amount of oil that is in this beer, making it a viscous ambrosia almost neon orange in color when on tap. excellent readily available consistent triple ipa. i usually enjoy 3-4 glasses every time, impressive for an absurdly hopped ale that comes in above 9%. never seems to loose its enjoyablity and ’mmmmm’ factor, where as a lot of impy ipas tend to become discomforting after a bottle or so. alagnak (324), Littleton, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Bomber enjoyed next to the tent @ 9000 feet above Basalt, CO. Thought a piney hop bomb was apropos for the location amongst the lodgepole and spruce in front of a pine fire. Wow - definition of a ’hop bomb’. Smells like dunking your head in a hop bath, tastes of woody, bitter pine and is kind of all over the place. Finishes bitter, bitter, bitter. Pinnacle of the american IPA hop madness. They hit the mark with the ’Hop Tribute’ angle, but this one is too extreme for me (and I would say I’m ’hop-inclined’ as a rule). nerdrocker101 (102), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | May 30, 2009 Pours a cloudy orange color. Thick head that stays. Aroma is citrus and grass. Taste - hops, you betcha. Good and good. Alcohol is hidden very nicely. Just a good hoppy beer. Could get in serious trouble with this one. Great drink. SSSteve (2054), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | May 29, 2009 slightly hazy orange with a small creamy off-white head. tangerine, mandarin orange, sweet aroma. green fresh juicy resiny hops flavor of citrus fruits from the aroma. pretty smooth palate. good sweet bitter balance. i don’t notice alcohol but i did just polish off the imperial stout. overall its a great beer but nothing really jumps out and makes it unique from some other IIPA’s(including moylander), except a good smooth creamy palate...which IS half the battle in this style catagory imo. snakeoilpete (324), Seattle, Washington, USA
