cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Feb 14, 2009 Bottle at home ... thanks to Agent steve ... hazy amber ... big resiny pine hops ... quite sweet juicy ... again pine hops ... over bitter for me ...little orange peel ... oily mough feel ... in the end its just much too bitter for me ... HonkeyBra (1258), Lemont, Illinois, USA Feb 13, 2009 Orange pour with a sticky white head. Aroma is like getting punched in the face by a hop monster. Mostly citrus and pine, but some sweet malt there. It stays in the back and never gets too sweet -- I like that. Oily mouth feel with a bitter pine finish. Great, great beer. Hangover (764), Atlanta, USA Feb 13, 2009 This one looks and smells awesome. Transluscent Orange pour with a thin orange/whitish head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma runs the hop gamut.. citrus (orange/grapefruit), floral and pine. Mouthfeel is medium-full, oily and resinous. Hops explode all the way through and a sticky-sweet malt backbone holds it together. It is REALLY good. Nice body and intensely flavorful... easy to forget the abv. Love it. ndubs360 (114), portland, Oregon, USA Feb 13, 2009 Tap @ baily’s Taproom. Poured a deep orange with a monster head that left considerable lacing. Great citrus hop nose with an intense hop taste. On the latter end of the palate i noticed a considerable bitter element. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Feb 12, 2009 Tap @ Bailey’s Taproom... Poured orange with a white head., nice lacing. Intense, floral hops on the nose. Palate was dry and foamy with flavors of floral hops (that matched the aroma perfectly) that went straight through to the finish. Also some grainy malts but were very little. TheRealBastard (141), The-No, California, USA Feb 9, 2009 Awesome. One of the best DIPA’s out there. Piney, refreshing, tart, and hopped out of this world. A really really really good DIPA will buy this again, hopslam watch out! Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam Feb 6, 2009 Bottle. Lovely hazy dark orange persimmon color. Aroma is fruitier than expected, a tiny bit of sourness. Nice soft carbonation. Good palate and not chewy. Super intense hop character ranges from herbal to fruity to very bitter and earthy. Really nice, very enjoyable and good level of intensity. nickd717 (1265), Palo Alto, California, USA Feb 4, 2009 Updated: Feb 9, 2009A hop bomb, and also another kind of bomb: THE bomb. This beer is pretty awesome. Sort of a mix between Stone Ruination and Pliny the Elder. Golden-amber color with a solid off-white head. Really piney and floral hop aroma with some sweet malt. Lupulin coats you like...um...a coat. Nice smooth mouthfeel with hop oiliness. Grapefruit and pine, balanced by sweet caramel malt. I could eat a hopsickle popsickle any day.
