Sep 24, 2008 Bottle. Hazy yellow orange color, minimal wispy head. Sweet undertones to begin, followed by a mellow crisp granulated sugar middle. Finish is hops and hops, hard to pinpoint the variety, but delicious nonetheless. Lingering pepper, pine, grapefruit, a bit of grassiness. Medium bodied. The thing I can appreciate about this is that it isn’t overly thick and syrupy like some IPA beers. Nicely done.

Sep 24, 2008 Pours a hazy golden yellow with thick white head. Aroma is pineapple, floral and hops. Flavor is hops and floral. Definite sugar/caramel undertones in the flavor mixed with this tart citrus flavor. Body is medium/thick with definite carbonation.

Sep 23, 2008 Shared with my buddy Ian. Hazy light amber pour with a thick white head. Big grassy pine citrus aroma. Thick chewy hop body, very aggressive, lots of caramel malt and citrus hops just bursting all about. Finishes with a bit of hop bitterness and a touch of the 9.2% abv. Very tasty IPA.

Sep 21, 2008 Pours an amber colour with a thick off white head.
Aroma is very nice citrus-pine hop. Flavour is herbal pine bitterness up front, just a hint of malt before it finishes with a lingering alc.

Sep 13, 2008 From bomber. Pours orange/brown with nice white foam ring. Good lacing. Aroma is piny and hoppy. Flavor is similar - pine, citrus, strong hops (as expected). Mouthfeel is fairly thick. Aftertaste is bitter with some alcohol burn. Really enjoyed this fine IPA. Californians certainly do know how to brew a good IPA. Good value also at $6 a bomber.

Sep 9, 2008 Pours hazy orange with off white head. I can smell the citrusy grapefruit hops from a foot away. Citrus flavors, mostly lemon and grapefruit, with some sweetness form the malts. This is much less sweet and syrupy than most of the DIPAs I have had. Alcohol flavor comes through only slightly. Medium body with mild carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel with a clean finish. Very nice.

Sep 9, 2008 Pours a murky golden / brown color ith a nice soapy head. Aroma of citrus, loads of hops and malt. Flavor is uber-hoppy with a lot of grapefruit like bitterness. The malt doesn’t entirely balance out the bitterness, so it finishes with a huge bitter bite. One heck of a beast of an Imperial IPA, but quite enjoyable. For the price this can’t be beat as far as Imperial IPA’s go.

Sep 4, 2008 Pours a clear gold/amber with a medium white head. Very great aroma, loads of citrus hops...mainly grapefruit. Heavy bitter flavor which is great, just a little too much after taste for my liking. Hides the 9.2% incredibly well. Very good though, a nice double IPA.
