rustychiles (997), Mesa, Arizona, USA Sep 9, 2008 Pours a murky golden / brown color ith a nice soapy head. Aroma of citrus, loads of hops and malt. Flavor is uber-hoppy with a lot of grapefruit like bitterness. The malt doesn’t entirely balance out the bitterness, so it finishes with a huge bitter bite. One heck of a beast of an Imperial IPA, but quite enjoyable. For the price this can’t be beat as far as Imperial IPA’s go. chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 4, 2008 Pours a clear gold/amber with a medium white head. Very great aroma, loads of citrus hops...mainly grapefruit. Heavy bitter flavor which is great, just a little too much after taste for my liking. Hides the 9.2% incredibly well. Very good though, a nice double IPA. StFun (535), Indiana, USA Sep 3, 2008 Updated: Jan 8, 2009Very nice IIPA, thanks to Santa for sending this one my way. Lots of hoppy goodness going on in this one. I really liked the way the creaminess and bitterness mixed together. Nice malt backbone as well. The Aroma to this one is great, creamysickle and flowers. Looks great in the glass, and fantastic flavor. Just so many different kinds of hops. Reminds me a lot of what Imperial Two Hearted might be like. Nice, nice brew. 12many (231), Ohio, USA Aug 31, 2008 Bottle. Sightly hazy amber with an average head and lacing. Aroma is floral and citrus hops with a good malt backbone. Flavor is bitter with a balancing sweetness making this quite smooth and drinkable. Mild carbonation, and drinkable. Pretty good. waolsen (1218), Littleton, Colorado, USA Aug 30, 2008 bottle. copper pour with huge frothy head. great lacing. enormous aroma of citrus and hops. awesome hop bomb. citrus and a bitterness that reaches down deep into your throat. despite the enormous amount of hops there is a good balance. delicious. this is what a IIPA should taste like. grimreeser (795), Minnesota, USA Aug 29, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a nice sized head with some lacing. Aroma is pine and floral hops. Strong bitterness. EricE (446), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Aug 27, 2008 Clear amber-orange pour with a thick fluffy white head. Lots of floral piny hops. Citrus and grapefruit notes. Very bitter leafy flavor. Just a little of fruitiness to it. And touch of sweetness. Some malt in there as well. The bitterness is strong and lingers. Not my personal favorite, but pretty good. tennisjoel (931), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA Aug 26, 2008 NIce to have Moylans recently enter MN. I jumped all over buying this when as soon as I saw it. Aroma is reminicent of DFH 90 Minute (one of my favorite IIPA’s). Citrusy hops abound. Mango, orange, pine, and some earthy hops. Flavor is very nice. Finishes a little harsher than 90 minute, as this is a beer for the serious hopheads. I still find this very enjoyable, the harsh finish is not a turn off, moreso makes it a little challenging, but in a good way, if that makes any sense. Well done! Good stuff indeed.
